This week's Careers Fair promises to be a great success with over 100 exhibition stands, local and international guest speakers and world-renowned extreme artist, Jean-Francois Detaille.

The event caters not only to career minded students who have big dreams, but also for career changers who are looking for a big move and parents who are looking to get their children connected.

The event kicks on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the North Hall at the Bermuda College with guest speakers, Robert Spear Ed.D from the New England League of Middle Schools who will deliver an address entitled, "Educational tools to overcome barriers for student learning" and Bermudian dentist, Dr. Kianna Michelle-Vermae Simmons who will be talking about "Creating Your Path".

Meanwhile the fair kicks off on Thursday morning at 10.45 a.m. when Jean-Francois Detaille uses only his hands to create magnificent portraits in mere seconds — much to the amazement of onlookers. Mr. Detaille has been a guest at the Careers Fair in the past and can be seen in the Entertainment Arena.

For those interested in fashion and design, a fashion show called "Dressed for success" takes place from 11.45 and is sponsored by Gibbons Company, followed by a second appearance by Mr. Detaille.

HPW Automotive Technology will have presentations every half-hour starting at 10 a.m. until 2.30 p.m. in the Tech Centre Exhibit area.

Other exhibitors at this years' fair include Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Bermuda International Business Association, LOM, Center on Philanthropy, Appleby, the Attorney General, Bank of Bermuda, MarketPlace, Department of Health, Bermuda Sloop Foundation, National Training Board (NTB), HM Customs, the Bermuda Police Service, Bermuda Regiment, Bermuda Air Conditioning, Digicel, MTEC, Butterfield Bank and Conyers Dill Pearman — to name but a few.

As in the past, the full two-day event schedule will ensure every student understands the importance of sound career planning and higher education.
