The Lower Ferry stop in Paget will be out of action today due to repairs. According to Ferry Supervisor Colin Minors, the work is necessary because the faulty dock design meant ferries were bumping it and getting damaged at low tide when they pulled away .

The repairs should be completed by the end of the day. The Belmont stop also requires work, but will not need to be closed.

News of the closure was released yesterday by the Department of Communication and Information.
