Flagstone Re has been voted runner-up property/casualty reinsurer of the year in the Reactions Magazine's 2008 Readers Awards.

The Church Street-based reinsurer, which was only formed in 2005, came just behind first-placed General Re and ahead of third-placed Swiss Re.

Another Bermuda-headquartered insurer featured was Ace, which won the casualty insurer of the year.
