Tech users offered insight on Wired Wednesday

Ronnie Viera: 'It's a technology networking event.'

Bermuda's technology users will be able to kick off the New Year in style with a unique insight into optimal application performance, information security and operating costs through two presentations put on by Citirix at this week's Wired Wednesday event.

Calabash Consulting Ltd., which is sponsoring the event, have arranged for Sri Subbian and Aaron Glass, Citrix Systems Application Networking Group specialists to be on hand to discuss the issues with delegates.

Mr. Subbian will present Citrix WANScaler: Application Acceleration and WAN Optimisation — Delivery to the Branch Office, and Mr. Glass will highlight Citrix NetScaler: Application Acceleration, Performance, and comprehensive web application security with advanced traffic management.

Jody Hubert, Calabash chief technology officer, said: "We see significant value in supporting the Business Technology Division of the Chamber by making this level of technical expertise accessible to the technology community.

"Our success in hosting October's event saw a number of business enquiries and helped raise our business profile."

Now in its fourth year, Wired Wednesday has been hosted by some of the largest and most respected technology companies on the Island.

This month's event will take place on Wednesday at Gosling's Wine Cellar in Dundonald Street from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.
