Belco shares led the way on the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange as they increased in value by $2.50 (11.1 percent) to finish at a new high of $25.00 after 2,150 shares were traded on Friday.

The only other price change on the Index was Bermuda Commercial Bank Limited which improved by five cents a share (0.5 percent) on the strength of 400 traded shares to end up at $9.95.

A small number of Butterfield Bank shares were also exchanged. The 300 traded shares did not alter the bank’s share price of $57.00. Similarly there was no change in price for Bermuda Aviation Services Limited in the transportation section as 200 of its shares traded at $6.25.

The Index ended the week with a modest 0.94 percent gain on the day, representing a movement of 46.35 points to 4,959.12. The total number of shares traded was 3,050, representing a value of $75,932.50.
