There was a small nudge upwards for the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange as shares of Bermuda Container Line improved by 40 cents (2.7 percent) to $15 after 1,100 shares changed hands.

Also going up were shares of Belco, which improved five cents (0.2 percent) to $21.50 after 900 were traded.

The only other active stock was Butterfield Bank with 6,300 shares exchanged but without affecting the closing price of $18.90.

The BSX rose 3.08 (0.06 percent) to close at 4,981.37 after 8,300 shares changed hands, representing a value of $154,715.
