Canada match confirmed

Bermuda will play Canada in an international friendly on Sunday at the National Sports Centre, the Bermuda Football Association confirmed yesterday.

As a result, the have been several adjustments to the football calendar, including the rescheduling of the Friendship and Shield finals, which were due to take place on Sunday, but have now been put back to April 1.

The Canadian squad has been here training since last Sunday and will train at the National Sports Centre’s north field today.

A statement from the BFA yesterday said Sunday’s match will kick off at 3 p.m.

“Originally, this match was scheduled on the evening of March 22,” the statement said. “However, the National Sports Centre Management could not guarantee that there will be sufficient lights available for the match. Therefore, the match was changed to Sunday, March 25.”

The Commercial KO Cup final has been rescheduled for April 1, a week on Sunday. The two FA Cup semi-finals will now be played on Sunday, April 8 and Sunday, April 15 respectively, followed by the Under-18 KO Cup and FA Cup finals on Sunday, April 22.
