Eight charged with conspiring to supply drugs
Eight people were charged today with conspiring to supply more than 100 kilogrammes of cannabis.Corte Gibbons, 46, and Iman Gibbons, 38, both of Limehouse Lane, Hamilton, were charged with conspiring to import cannabis and allowing the use of drugs on their property on November 29 last year in addition to the supplying charge.Damon Edwards, 37, and John Jefferis, 38, both of Hamilton, and Darrin Virgil, 28, of Warwick, were also included on the charge of conspiring to import cannabis between an unknown date and November 26, 2012.Shannon Trott, 33, was charged with allowing the use of drugs on his property along with Corte and Iman Gibbons. He is also a resident of Limehouse Lane, Hamilton.Dina Tucker, 48, of Devonshire, and Brian Anderson, 51, of Hamilton, were also among the eight charged with conspiracy to supply cannabis between an unknown date and November 29, 2012.The seven men and one woman did not have to enter pleas because the matter must be heard in the Supreme Court.Bail was set at $100,000 with one surety along with the condition that the defendants relinquish their travel documents.
