JOHANNESBURG (Bloomberg) - Aquarius Platinum Ltd., a producer of the metal in South Africa and Zimbabwe, agreed to repurchase Impala Platinum Holdings' 8.4-percent stake in Aquarius as part of a $790 million transaction.

Aquarius's South African unit will also repurchase the 20 percent Impala holds in the local entity, the Bermuda-based company said in a statement to London's Regulatory News Service yesterday.
