Road and parking restrictions in Hamilton during Tall Ships visit

Starting tomorrow and for the duration of the Tall Ships' visit to Bermuda, there will be significant changes to traffic flow and parking arrangements in Hamilton.

The Corporation of Hamilton announced that there will be no parking on Front Street, at Albuoy's Point or any of the Number One, Five or Seven car parks from Wednesday at 6 p.m., the start of Harbour Nights, through to the following Tuesday, June 16.

City Hall, Bulls Head, Par-la-Ville and Cavendish car parks will be open throughout, with shuttle services available for those heading towards the Front Street festivities.

Corporation Secretary Ed Benevides advised that traffic delays in and out of Hamilton should be anticipated, and suggested those driving to or from the city leave early or stagger leaving times.

A comprehensive list of road closures for the Tall Ships Festival can be found on the Corporation website at www.cityhall.bm and in daily advertisements in The Royal Gazette.
