Hurricane force winds are expected to sweep the Island tomorrow and Thursday.

Tomorrow morning will bring 30 to 40-knot gusts, which will increase to 50 knots by midday. Hurricane force gusts are likely between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. tomorrow, and again between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

The Island is also expected to experience rain and thunder tomorrow.

Seas inside the reef are expected to reach between four and 12 feet.

It is not yet known if the Causeway will be closed, though Government has done so in the past when winds reached 50 knots.
