Bermudian Khano Smith has been chosen as a First Team All-American player for the second successive year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
The Warwick resident who attends Lees-McRae College in North Carolina was an outstanding player who helped lead his team - the Bobcats - to the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference Tournament Championship this season. The midfielder scored 18 goals and had six assists to lead the Bobcats with 42 points.
The NSCAA All-American teams are determined through voting by NSCAA member coaches from across the country. Teams from youth to NCAA Division I will be honoured at a special luncheon on January 18 in Kansas City, Missouri.
