One of the Island's longest-running road races, the annual Princess to Princess event, will mark its 25th anniversary on Sunday, January 6.

And to celebrate the occasion organisers are planning a number of special features and prizes.

As usual, the race will be run over a course of just over seven miles, starting at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess and finishing at the Fairmont Southampton Princess.

A junior race over a shorter distance will again be held in conjunction with the main event.

Special hotel rates will be available to runners at both hotels on the eve of the race, and a buffet will be held immediately after the race at the Whaler Inn.

Entry forms are now in local sports shops. Those entering at Sportseller should note that cash will not be accepted, only cheques.
