Local runner Wendy Griffin completed the Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday, finishing the 26.2 mile race in four hours and 17 minutes.

A member of Swan?s Running Club and Mid Atlantic Athletic Club, Griffin was running in memory of Fiona Fitzpatrick, a midwife at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital who lost her battle with cancer in August of this year. She raised pledges in excess of $1,000 which will go towards the Bermuda TB Cancer and Health Association.
