Top-of-the-table Dandy Town take on defending Premier Division champions North Village at St. John's Field tomorrow in an encounter which Village coach Scott Morton anticipates will be one "hell of a game".

Despite a squad which was billed to boast an embarrassment of riches, Village at present find themselves in fourth place after three games, one point back from tied front runners Hamilton Parish, Devonshire Cougars and Dandy Town.

The season is still young, though, and Morton, who says he is recovering well after a serious road accident in October, appeared confident yesterday about his side's chances of success on the weekend and beyond.

Yet he was careful to acknowledge the obvious potency of Town's threat this season.

"I'm always confident in my team," he said.

"But again, watching Dandy Town the last one or two games and knowing a lot about their coach, I'm expecting a very competitive battle. On any given day, Dandy Town are good enough to beat anybody and could surprise us - especially if we do not come prepared."

"If Carlos Smith is on the pitch for Town, we have to be very mindful of him because of his speed. Also, I don't know if Reggie Tucker is back playing with them but there is no doubt that when he does, he is one of the most intelligent footballers in Bermuda and makes them a much better side."

Asked whether the team would look to adopt a more direct attacking style on a surface at St. John's Road which is notoriously bumpy and unpredictable, the Village coach insisted that he had no intention of altering the basic philosophy of his side's football.

"The players are going to have to adjust to whatever is in front of them on the day," he said.

"We have our way of playing and we are not going to change. I am confident that they will cope."

In other fixtures tomorrow, Premier Division basement dwellers Devonshire Colts go head to head at White Hill Field with Southampton Rangers, who are two places above them, while second-placed Devonshire Cougars host Somerset Eagles.

Meanwhile in Division One, Paget take on St.George's at White Hill Field, Wolves face St.David's in a bottom of the table clash at Devonshire Recreation Club and PHC play Prospect at Southampton Oval.

The scheduled match between division leaders Somerset and Ireland Rangers has been postponed as has the women's league game between Somerset Hurricanes and Prospect.
