Somerset Trojans 2 Wolves 1

Somerset Trojans edged by a nine-men Wolves side 2-1 at White Hill Field yesterday.

Trojans appeared destined for a comfortable win after former Wolves player Anthony Webb grabbed two first half goals.

However, poor finishing in front of goal prevented Trojans from adding to their tally in the second half, even after Wolves were reduced to nine men when Kenny Hill and Karl-Jay Parfitt received their marching orders from referee Richard Knight.

But despite playing two men short, Wolves still managed to grab a late consolation as Trojans continued to squander a plethora of chances.

St.George's 2 St.David's 1

Philip Bailey scored two goals to inspire ten-man St.George's to a 2-1 win over neighbours St.David's at Wellington Oval.

Bailey came up trumps for the home team who at one stage trailed by a goal.

However, St.George's' win proved to be bittersweet as Detroy Smith received his marching orders in the second half, resulting in his team having to play the remainder of the match one player short.

PHC 9 Social Club 0

PHC Zebras hammered Social Club 9-0 at Southampton Oval yesterday.

Kenny Mills, Raynel (Manga) Lightbourne and Tori Russell each netted twice in their team's lopsided win.

Zebras held a commanding 5-0 lead at the half and threatened to reach double digits after the restart.

Also getting in on the goal-feast were Chris Furbert, Omar Shakir and Corey Dowling in the second half as Zebras romped to their second win of the season.

Meanwhile, shock early division pacesetters Paget handed Ireland Rangers a 3-2 loss at Malabar.

Paget are now 3-0, and are currently enjoying one of their finest starts ever to a season under coach Brian Anderson.
