Cup semis slated for NSC

Martonmere Cup action will finally begin under the lights, Bermuda Football Association confirmed yesterday.

The pre-season tournament, involving the previous season's top six teams, has traditionally been contested under floodlights.

However, due to lighting damage at club grounds caused by hurricane Fabian, this year's competition has so far been played in daylight.

But next Tuesday will see league and FA Cup champions North Village take on competition new boys Somerset Eagles at the National Sports Centre at 9 p.m. for a place in the November 11 final, which is also slated to take place at the NSC.

The other cup semi-final between Devonshire Cougars and Boulevard will be held on November 4 at the same ground. Both matches will be preceded by Women's Konica Cup games.
