The postponed October 12 Premier Division clash between defending league champions North Village and Boulevard has been rescheduled for this Sunday at BAA Field.

But Bermuda Football Association officials are reportedly concerned that the match was called off in the first place.

The season opening contest was postponed by referee Leroy Wilson following consultation with officials from both clubs when none of his assigned linesmen showed up at the ground.

However, Wilson, according to the BFA, erred in his decision.

In a letter distributed to affiliates last week, the BFA clearly outlined regulations relating to officials' attendance at matches.

The letter read: "Under no circumstances shall any decision regarding the playing of the match be decided with or by the participating team's management."

The release continued: "In the event both referee assistants fail to report for duty then the referee must request the assistance from both teams to select two referee assistants, one from each club.

"Should the visiting team be unable to select an assistant, the home team may select both assistant referees. In all cases, it is the duty of the referee to decide on the suitability of the selected assistants."

This Sunday's contest, meanwhile, will be the only Premier Division match of the weekend as the remainder of the league teams have the day off.

Last week Bermuda Referees Association president Richard Knight publicly defended Wilson's decision to postpone the highly anticipated match which left many players, team officials and fans up in arms as they exited the ground.
