Nusum moves indoors
Bermuda international striker John Barry Nusum signed for indoor side Philadelphia KiXX yesterday.
The powerhouse forward will kick off the season with his new club a week on Saturday against Cleveland Force, before taking on David Bascome?s Balitimore Blast the following Friday.
The 23-year-old ? who still stands on top of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying goalscoring charts for his exploits against Montserrat earlier this year ? played last year in Toronto with the Lynx in the outdoor A-league, where he scored four times in 23 appearances in a struggling side.
Nusum, who was originally drafted in 2002 by Columbus Crew of the Major League Soccer, played for two years with the Atlanta Silverbacks, where he was the top scorer in 2003.
He also had trials in England this summer for Grimsby Town.
The Philadelphia KiXX , who play at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia, have been playing in the Major Indoor Soccer League for the past nine seasons.
