Kyle's a team man
Kyle Lightbourne is proving a hit among his Macclesfield team-mates despite having yet to open his goal account for the Third Division side.
There is more to the Bermudian's game than hitting the back of the net, and that was evident in the 4-3 victory over Scunthorpe United at the weekend - the club's first of the season. The Silkmen had to come back three times against United before sealing the win and although Lightbourne did not get on the scoresheet his all-round play did not go unnoticed.
Lee Glover, who leads the goalscoring charts at Moss Rose, said: "Kyle and I have been combining well and against Scunthorpe we got on the end of things without always having the best of luck.
"We've got new players in the side who need time to settle . . . Richard Eyre and Dave Ridler have come in and done well and Kyle has led the line brilliantly."
