The Island?s top golfer finished just how he started in last week?s Maverick Tour event, placing second overall with a final round of two-over 74 on Saturday.

This gave the 25-year-old ? who was in second throughout ? a total of eight-under 280 for the four rounds at Inverrary Country Club (East course) and a share of the runner-up spot with Tim O?Neal. Both earned $10,025.

Will MacKenzie, who had led from round one, won the tournament in Lauderhill, Florida, with 16-under 272 and pocketed $25,000.
