Fans of local sport will be able to get close to the action and follow the exploits of Bermuda's Island Games competitors live by logging on to the event's official website - www.guernsey2003.com.

The site includes links to the online results service and also Island Sport, the Games Radio Station, broadcasting 24 hours a day via the internet from this Saturday.

The online results service will be updated direct from all of the venues giving people from all over the world the same instant access to live results from the 15 different sports.

Reflecting the spirit and fun of the "friendly games", Island Sport is a non-partisan radio station concentrating equally on all 23 islands.

Island Sport will broadcast 24 hours a day direct live from a studio at Beau Sejour, one of the Games' main venues and is not only being broadcast in Guernsey itself but also throughout the world via the internet.

"It is tremendous that people will have such great access to the Games whether they are in Guernsey or at home in Bermuda," says media co-ordinator Darren Duquemin.

"We are very proud of both the online results service and also the online games radio station.

"One will deliver all of the facts, whilst the other will provide all of the people that listen to it the all-important flavour of the event. They will really share in the Island Games experience."
