Bermuda's sporting champions could soon be helping to inspire future talent if an investigation by Government gets the green light.
Sports Minister Randy Horton told the House of Assembly on Friday that during a trip to England he had visited the National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace, London.
While there he was told about Sporting Champions, a programme run by Sport England, the country's sporting authority, which uses sports stars and emerging talent to inspire and motivate young people.
"I was so impressed by this initiative that I intend to have my Ministry officials investigate the possibility of emulating a similar programme in Bermuda because I truly believe that it can be extremely beneficial to Bermuda's youth," he told fellow MPs.
