Dear Sir,

As you all are aware, on Saturday, September 7 at 4 p.m., the West End of Bermuda (Paget West to Somerset) was without power.

It was reported on local radio station that Belmont's construction workers had damaged an underground power line causing the outage.

We would like to set the record straight. Belmont Hotel Property's limited current redevelopment work did not cause Saturday's power outage. This was confirmed by a Belco spokesperson on all media.
