Say no to Caricom

A recent article in The Royal Gazette reported that Canada had imposed a visa requirement on Caricom members Grenada and Dominica, in order to curtail the illegal activity of selling passports within these islands. The same article went on to say that "the right to travel to Canada without first obtaining a visa was a cherished privilege for islands who are often denied visas to the U.S."

Dear Sir,
A recent article in The Royal Gazette reported that Canada had imposed a visa requirement on Caricom members Grenada and Dominica, in order to curtail the illegal activity of selling passports within these islands. The same article went on to say that "the right to travel to Canada without first obtaining a visa was a cherished privilege for islands who are often denied visas to the U.S."
Bermudians be warned. Have all the cultural ties with the Caribbean you want, but economic links - via Caricom - will impoverish Bermuda. It will just provide more grease on the slippery slope to the Third World.
Sensible Bermudians must say no to this idiocy.
