A woman who imported cocaine in a sanitary napkin was told she looked like a princess and perhaps could be given probation by Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves yesterday.

Sheida Larijani, 32, of San Francisco, pleaded guilty to importing cocaine on December 21.

Crown counsel Shakira Dill told Magistrates' Court that Larijani had arrived on the Island on a flight from New York.

Customs officers became suspicious of her because of her excessive talking and fake crying when they were searching her baggage.

The Customs officers decided to give her a full body search and she admitted that she had cocaine in a Maxi pad wrapped in two packages.

Ms Dill said it was analysed and found to be .55 grams of cocaine.

Larijani said: "I want to apologise to the court and to say that it wont happen again."

Mr. Greaves said: "I think it looks like probation to me. She looks like a princess to me.

"No probation. The fine is $1,000 or 90 days at Ferry Reach (the CoEd Correctional Facility).

"You can get treatment there."
