Woman faces fraud, theft charges

A 41-year-old woman appeared in Magistrates? Court yesterday for allegedly using a stolen credit card to run up a $780 bill.
Jodieann Payne-Nisbett, of Scott?s Hill Road, Somerset pleaded not guilty to 19 fraud and theft charges.
The charges were a combination of making false documents, knowingly and fraudulently uttering false documents, intending to defraud an employee, and stealing a credit card.
Nisbett allegedly used the card six times running up a $780 bill on September 11.
Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves asked Nisbett: ? Have you ever spent time in St. Brendan?s??
Nisbett replied: ?No, I?m not crazy.?
Mr. Greaves set bail at $2,500 with a surety and set a trial date for January 15.
