Bus terminal tragedy

Emergency crews were called to Bermuda?s temporary bus terminal in Hamilton yesterday after a 78-year-old man collapsed. Despite their best efforts to resuscitate him, the Devonshire man was pronounced dead by an on call physician at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital half an hour later.

The incident occurred near the junction with Dismont Drive and Church Street at about 1.40 p.m.

Police spokesperson Robin Simons said CPR was performed on the unresponsive man before he was rushed to hospital. However, Police could not release any further details until the man?s next of kin were notified, but inquiries into the incident are underway. Mr. Simons said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man?s death.
