Police called out to disturbance

Three males were arrested on suspicion of affray after an incident on Church Street, Hamilton, on Friday evening.

Officers attended a disturbance near the junction with Queen Street at about 8.20 p.m. and found two young men arguing. A third young man appeared and allegedly attempted to assault one of the others. A 16-year-old from St. George?s, a 24-year-old from Pembroke and a 25-year-old from Hamilton Parish were arrested and later bailed.

Firefighters deal with building blaze

Firefighters took only five minutes to reach the scene of a burning building in Southampton on Saturday evening after being alerted just before 8 p.m. The fire was in a residential property in Seymour Farm Road and flames were coming out of the building when firefighters arrived. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus brought the fire under control. No one was injured.
