Brown meets top travel editors
Tourism Minister Ewart Brown told some of the most powerful media figures in the US about the wonders of Bermuda yesterday.
Senior editors and producers from the Associated Press and NBC?s ?The Today Show? were among those attending a luncheon with Dr. Brown and permanent secretary Marc Telemaque in New York City.
Senior editors from the magazines Travel and Leisure, Town and Country Travel, For You, Bride?s, Departures, Conde Nast Traveler, and Food & Wine also attended.
Topics discussed included the new ?Putting Distance? advertising campaign which is designed to promote Bermuda as a golf/tennis/spa destination and create awareness about Bermuda?s close proximity to the US.
Dr. Brown also answered questions about recent hotel renovations and developments and new flights (including the introduction of a new flight to Bermuda from Miami on American Airlines being launched in March, 2005).
