Bull’s Head Car Wash to close this month

Bull’s Head Car Wash is to close at the end of this month.

In a statement yesterday, the Riviere family, who operated the carwash for 15 years, said the business had been sold and the buyers had a “new vision for the property”.

The Royal Gazette reported in November that co-owner and manager Art Riviere planned to retire and that the business was up for sale for $750,000.

“Our regular customers have become family and I will miss them, but business has become unsustainable,” Mr Riviere said.

“We were hoping that the carwash would be a legacy business for our family, but our ‘daytime shopper’ numbers in Bermuda have changed so much that it’s not viable any more.

“I look forward to retiring, but saying goodbye to our customers throughout February will be bittersweet.”

The business is offering discounted washes at $25 from now through February 29, the last day of operation “in appreciation of our customers who have supported the business since it opened in 2004”.

Bull’s Head Car Wash will be open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:45pm and Saturday from 9am to 4:45pm, weather permitting.
