Pablo Barrera-Rojas, of Staten Island, New York, was caught with cannabis when he arrived at the Airport last Friday afternoon.
Magistrates? Court heard the defendant cleared Immigration and was selected for inspection by Customs officers.
When asked if he was in possession of any drugs, he replied: ?Yes, I have marijuana.?
He later produced a bag containing just over five grams of cannabis.
Barrera-Rojas admitted the importation charge. The 28-year-old apologised when he appeared before magistrates yesterday. He was fined $1,000.
