There is still no decision on the future of Bermuda Cement Company which has bid for a renewed lease at Dockyard.

West End Development Corporation general manager Lloyd Telford said three bidders had put in proposals after ten had expressed interest.

He said a decision should occur next month when the Wedco board meets ? although a decision by September 30 had been promised.

The contract process had led to a public row earlier in the year with BCC boss Jim Butterfield comparing Bermuda to Zimbabwe after implying the company was about to lose its contract after having it for 40 years.
