Dockyard ready for stars

The tenth anniversary of the Bermuda Music Festival will be a treat for those who come along, rain or shine.

That was the message from Tourism and Transport Minister Ewart Brown as he inspected the Festival venue at Dockyard yesterday.

With the line-up at the venue tonight including top acts Joss Stone and Al Green, Dr. Brown was enthusiastic about the plans for the next few days.

?We want Dockyard to light up and be visible from every part of Bermuda.

?It?s time for all Bermudians and visitors to come out and feel the love!? he said.

The Minister joined media representatives for a tour of the site which this year includes luxurious Trophy Suites for corporate entertainment and information booths providing concierge services to attendees.

And despite weather forecasts predicting showers, Dr. Brown said of the prospect of the crowd getting a soaking: ?We?ve put our order in for the weather. About two weeks ago we unveiled a $2 million radar system and that says we?re expecting sunny weather. Let?s leave it at that.?
