A Jamaican illegal immigrant claimed he had forgotten his passport when he appeared in Plea Court on Monday morning.

Christopher Anthony Brown, 26, arrived in Bermuda on May 20 with permission to stay on the Island for 21 days, or until June 10.

However, he failed to leave the Island at that time. He was arrested by Police on September 25, claiming that he had lost his passport and his clothes.

He pleaded guilty to being an illegal resident on the Island, telling Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves he just wanted forgiveness. Mr. Greaves remanded him into custody until the matter could be dealt with further.
