Kyle still poses a threat

Eastbound: Tropical storm Kyle is moving eastwards at 5 knots and is still classed as a potential threat to the Island. It is currently 150 nautical miles south of Bermuda.

Tropical depression Kyle began moving eastwards last evening, but it still poses a threat to the Island, according to the Bermuda Weather Service.

Kyle currently has maximum sustained winds of 40 knots with gusts up to 50 knots and is moving at five knots per hour.

Bermuda Weather Service, duty forecaster, Lou McNally said: "Kyle is 310 nautical miles to the south of Bermuda and within 48 hours is expected to be 140 nautical miles to the south.

"The combination effect of a cold front from the north and tropical storm Kyle will bring tropical force winds tomorrow."
