For seniors with maintenance problems, he?s a real Knight in shining armour.

Richard Knight has been hired by Age Concern to help seniors with projects large and small ? everything from fixing screens on windows to changing lightbulbs.

Mr. Knight was named handyman coordinator in late June, said Age Concern executive director Claudette Flemming.

Ms Flemming said the aim of the project was not to carry out major work, although Age Concern will consider hardship cases.

The project is being funded by Endurance Speciality Re, the Ministry of Youth Sport and Recreation, the Ministry of the Environment, End to End Committee and the Bermuda Junior Service League.

Butterfield Bank will become the sixth major sponsor with a $20,000 donation tomorrow. Other sponsors include Coldwell Banker and Fidelity Insurance. Seniors wishing to contact Mr. Knight should call Age Concern on 238-7525.
