An employee at the Bermuda International Airport was removed from an aircraft hangar by the Bermuda Fire Service yesterday following a chlorine leak.
?The leak was successfully stopped by two members of the Bermuda Fire Service wearing capsulated hazardous material suits,? Lieutenant Wenda Godfrey said. ?A further search by two personnel wearing breathing apparatus located one person inside the hangar who was unaffected by leak.
?The chlorine was being used by the water treatment plant,? she said. ?There has been no report as to how the leak actually started. There were no reported injuries.?
