Minister of Finance Eugene Cox has expressed his appreciation to everyone who has enquired about his well-being during his illness. He said it was rewarding and comforting to know that people thought so highly of him and were concerned about his health.

A statement released by the Department of Communications and Information said Mr. Cox, wanted to thank everyone for their cards, flowers, prayers and expressions of well wishes, which he continues to receive.

Mr. Cox was admitted to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital twice in about a month, missing February's budget debate. The nature of his illness has not been made public.
