The delayed bulk carrier Winterset docked at Tiger Bay, St. George's, this week, bringing the first load of rock for the resurfacing of the airport runway. The ship had been ice-bound in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Airport General Manager James Howes said it would be stockpiled and work would begin next week involving 32,000 tonnes of rock and 1,200 tonnes of asphalt.
