Commission resumes today
The Boundaries Commission is set to resume its deliberations on new electoral rules today.
Last summer, the Boundaries Commission was empowered by an order in council to make recommendations on the number, and boundaries, of new constituencies in a revamped single seat electoral system.
It has asked for public input to assist with its deliberations and the deadline for written submissions has been set for March 15.
The Commission consists of two members from the United Bermuda Party - Pamela Gordon and John Barritt; two from the ruling Progressive Labour Party - Dame Lois Brown Evans and Eugene Cox; Sir Brian Smedley, its judicial member and chairman Sir Frank Blackman.
This week it is expected that an expert in electoral systems will also be assisting with its deliberations.
