Mugged in own home

A gang forced their way into a Pembroke man's home, robbed him and then returned to attack him in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 24-year-old Border Lane resident heard knocking on the door at 3.35 a.m. and found five men on his door step who said they were looking for another man.

Two of the men began ransacking one of the rooms while the other three argued with the man. One of the suspects grabbed the man's gold chain before they all left.

They then returned minutes later and attacked the man who suffered cuts to his lower lip and facial bruising. They took $1,600 before leaving.

Witnesses should call central CID on 295 0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 1-800-623-8477.
