Premier Ewart Brown is planning an initiative to make the ?Bermuda family? stronger. Addressing Sandys Rotary Club, he said: ?This community inspires me and I draw strength from interacting with young and old alike.

?Our strength as a community is drawn from the fact that we can say that almost everyone is family. I have a Minister whose custom is to address all as ?cousin?. Sometimes he is not too far from close. We are a close-knit community and this has been our strength over the years.

?I have discussed with my Cabinet colleagues some way in which we can capitalise on that familial bond that exists naturally among us. Although I cannot say just what, I can tell you that this month we will jointly announce an initiative that will focus on the family and will make us as a community stronger.?

The Premier stressed the importance of the people of Bermuda paying homage to the Island?s traditions, and ensuring young people are made conscious of their heritage.
