Artists show in the raw

Artists exhibiting at the 'Rock, Paper and Scissors' show include, from left, Jennifer Stobo, Kendra Ezekiel, Lynn Morrell, Will Collieson, David Mitchell and Amy Evans.

‘Rock, paper, scissors' is the name of the new exhibition opening at the Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard this weekend. The group show will feature works by Ernst Bauer, Will Collieson, Amy Evans, Kendra Ezekiel, Lynn Morrell, Jennifer Stobo and David Mitchell who use a host of mixed media, including textiles, paper, papier mach?, wood and stone.

Each artist will present his or her own unique interpretation on the show's title and theme, and the show promises to be very diverse. Amy Evans, for example, will be showing two-dimensional mixed media architectural compositions inspired by her recent travels to Europe and Mexico, while Lynn Morrell's textiles have been inspired by the texture of Bermuda stone, and Jennifer Stobo's inventiveness is demonstrated in her unique chess set made up of papier mach? and clay characters.

The show will continue through April 12. For further details see Bermuda Calendar.
