Bank of Bermuda stocks rallied yesterday on the Bermuda Stock Exchange, gaining $1 to close at $43 on a busy day of trading which saw $1.8 million in shares change hands.

But Bank of Butterfield lost 25 cents to finish at $28.75 - well off its 52 week high of $35 despite producing good results.

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index closed up 22.81 points or 0.98 percent at 2,355.72 on a volume of 52,963 shares worth $1,849,597. No bonds traded.
