BSX ends week up 35 points
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index last week gained 35.496 points, or 0.93 percent, to end the week at 3,810.15.
Belco Holdings Ltd. moved up $2.25 as investors bought and sold 1,400 shares to close at $42.50.
Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. gained 50 cents on trading of 500 shares, closing the week at $9. KeyTech Holdings Ltd. ? the parent company of BTC, Mobility and Logic Communications ? gained $1 on volume of 2,068 shares to close at $13.
Two issuers saw a dip in share value this week: BF&M Ltd. shares lost 50 cents, with investors trading 3,660 shares to close at $16 and Argus Insurance Co. Ltd. shares fell 25 cents as 400 shares traded. The shares closed at $28.75.
Butterfield Bank shares ended the week at $45.50, on trading of 22,108 shares.
Four BSX-listed companies saw no price movement. Devonshire Industries Ltd. ? the parent company of Bermuda Paint ? saw 1,700 shares move. The shares were valued at $14.50. And Bermuda Container Line Ltd. traded 1,000 shares, at $14.95. Watlington Waterworks investors bought and sold 800 shares, at a share price of $12.50.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX this week was $1,218,495.50 and the overall volume of shares moving was 33,526.
