New dates for anti-violence exhibition

The Ministry of National Security is advising that it has amended the dates for the Live. Love. Life. Anti-Violence Art Exhibition, which will be now held from February 26 - March 4, 2020.

The Ministry is also extending the deadline for submissions for the exhibition until February 21, 2020.

As a reminder, the Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Caines announced a partnership with Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art to host an art exhibition in an effort to raise awareness about reducing violence in our community.

The exhibition will be held from February 26 - March 4, 2020 and is open to all interested individuals, including adults and young people – there is no age limit.

Submissions should be created around the theme, interpretation and/or concept of reducing violence in the community. Currently around five schools and a variety of local artists have confirmed their participation in the Live. Love. Life. Anti-Violence Art Exhibition.

Cash prizes totaling $9,000 will be awarded for outstanding art in the following categories:

? Traditional Painting;

? Mixed Media;

? Digital Media;

? Animation; and

? Photography

Art submissions for the Love. Life. Anti-Violence Art Exhibition can be submitted to the Masterworks Gallery, Botanical Gardens Paget, until February 21, 2020. For more information, please email jscott@gov.bm or call 294-9283.
