Blood donors who won a raffle to highlight the work of the Bermuda Blood Donor Centre have been awarded a weekend stay at the Hamilton Princess Hotel, and a champagne brunch.

Jason Kyme and Lorraine King picked up the prizes donated by the hotel, which came from a draw of the most active regular blood donors and new donors based on donations over the last year.

Eyitayo Fakunle, the consultant haematologist who oversees the blood donor centre, said: “We would very much like to thank all our new and regular donors who week in and week out help us save lives throughout the year.

“This raffle was a way for us to recognise the tireless giving of our donors. Thank you to Hamilton Princess for helping us celebrate their generosity.”
