Sophia Cannonier and her husband Michael Watson yesterday denied breaching the Government’s Covid-19 quarantine regulations.

Ms Cannonier, 52, and Mr Watson, 46, were both charged with refusing to comply with a mandatory quarantine as directed by a health officer and failing to complete a Travel Authorisation Form.

The pair, who appeared at Magistrates’ Court via Zoom from their Devonshire home, pleaded not guilty to both charges.

The incident is alleged to have happened on Sunday after they returned from a trip to the UK.

Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe adjourned the case until August 16 and released the defendants on $3,000 bail each.

He ordered them to stay at their residence until they received a negative Day 8 Covid-19 test.
