Paget 9 Social Club 1

Paget moved off the bottom of the First Division tables, scoring all ten goals in their one-side romp at White Hill Field.

Having managed just seven goals in eight previous league games, a win by this margin was not expected.

Paget led 4-0 at the half with David Hunt having already completed his hat-trick with goals in the 13th, 22nd and 42nd minutes. Javon Darrell got the other right at the half to leave the Social Club players arguing with each other as they went off the field.

It got worst for the visitors in the second half as Hunt scored his fourth in the 48th minute, before John Glasgow rifled a shot into his own net in the 61st minute to get Paget on the scoresheet.

However, after that it was all Paget as Ki-Roy Butterfield netted the sixth goal in the 76th minute after Chris Anderson shook off a challenge inside the box and eventually crossed to Butterfield to score.

Anderson scored a goal of his own in the 81st minute to make it 7-1 and then Kevin Tucker and Duane Hurdle closed out the scoring with further strikes in the 87th and 89th minute to further humiliate their opponents. Social Club, who showed up for the match with only 11 players, had been reduced to ten men in the 71st minute when Craig Outerbridge was sent off for abusive language.

St. George's 3 St. David's 1

St. George's avenged their recent loss to St. David's in the Shield competition, winning this derby match at Lord's to move into third place in the standings.

The former division leaders took advantage of two other postponed matches to move ahead of idle Prospect on goal average. Sinclair Gibbons, who reportedly retired in frustration after that St. David's loss three weeks ago, scored one of the St. George's goals yesterday on his comeback. Neil Paynter and David Signor also netted for St. George's. The loss drops St. David's to second from bottom.
